Abstract
실제 진료 현장에서 의료인의 임상적 의사결정에는 환자 개개인의 상황에 따라 다양한 판단이 상호 교차하게 되면서, 지속적인 문제해결역량을 키우기 위한 창의성이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 직무윤리와전문직업성을 갖추어야 하는 예비의료인을 양성하는 치의학교육에서 창의성 교육에 대한 인식을 살펴보고, 그 필요성에 대하여 논의하고자 한다. 본 연구는 전라권 소재 모 치과대학 치의학과에 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 무기명의 온라인 자기기입식설문조사를 진행하였다. 문헌 연구를 통해 설문지 초안을 작성하여 내용의 신뢰도와 전문가 타당도를 확보한 후, 총 6개 영역 34문항의 온라인 형태 설문지를 개발하였다. 폐쇄형 문항에 대하여서는 빈도와 백분율을산출하여 분석하였고, 개방형 문항에 대해서는 워드클라우드 프로그램을 이용하여 응답 내용을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 응답자의 60% 이상에서 창의성은 길러질 수 있으며, 사회문화적 환경적 요소 등의 영향을 받는다고 응답하였다. 창의성 교육의 필요성에 대하여서는 평균 3.3점 이상의 긍정적인 답변을 하였다. 반면치과대학에서 창의성 계발이 이루어지고 있는 실태와 관련하여서는 대부분의 문항에서 평균 2.6점 이하의부정적인 답변을 하였다. 그리고 치과대학 교육과 창의성 영역 문항에서는 ‘실험·실습·발표 등 프로젝트’와‘보고서 제출’의 평가 방식이 창의성 발휘에 가장 큰 도움이 되어, 대학 수업에서 창의성 향상을 촉진하기 위해 가장 먼저 평가 방식의 개선이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 치과대학에서의 창의성 교육에 장애가 되는 요인문항의 중복 선택에서 ‘교수자의 전통적 수업 방식, 수업시수 과다, 학습자의 전통적 수업에 익숙함, 창의성발현을 촉진하는 프로그램 부족’에서 절반에 가까운 높은 응답률을 보였다. 본 연구는 치의학교육에서 예비의료인의 전문직업성 고취를 위해 창의성 교육에 대한 인식을 조사하여, 그 필요성을 확인하였다. 따라서 미래사회를 위한 창의적 인재를 양성하기 위해 평가 방식의 개선, 교수자의교수법을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수법 프로그램의 개발 및 창의성을 증진시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램의 마련등 구체적이고 체계적인 치의학교육 환경이 마련되어야 할 것이다.
This study aimed to investigate students’ perceptions of creativity education in dental education and discuss its necessity. This study conducted an anonymous online self-report questionnaire to assess dental students’ perceptions of creativity education for promoting professionalism, targeting students majoring in dentistry. For closed-type questions, frequency and percentage were calculated and analyzed, and for open-ended questions, the response content was analyzed using the Word Cloud program. Results showed that more than 60% of the respondents answered that creativity could be cultivated, and more than half responded positively to the necessity of creativity education. However, most questions received negative responses on the status of creativity enlightenment in dental college. For questions on dental education curriculum and creativity, evaluating “projects such as experiments, practice, and presentations” and “reports submission” is most helpful in demonstrating creativity. Students answered that the evaluation method needed improvement to promote the development of creativity. Factors that disturb creativity education showed a high response rate of almost half in the traditional teaching method adopted by teachers, an excessive number of class hours, learners’ familiarity with traditional teaching, and a lack of programs that promote creativity. Thus, a specific and systematic dental education environment is necessary for promoting professionalism by improving evaluation methods and developing programs to improve instructors’ teaching methods and enhance creativity.
